Ayamonte Furniture Stores
Whether you are relocating to Ayamonte or you have purchased a holiday home in the town, furnishing your new home should be a part of the adventure. Ayamonte has a good selection of furniture stores, catering for all budgets and most tastes.
It is also worthwhile going further afield to shop around. There are a number of large furniture stores in Lepe and Cartaya. The larger chains, Ikea in Seville, Carrefour in Cartaya and Leroy Merlin at Huelva are also well worth a visit.
Some people prefer to choose items individually whilst others will simply opt for a furniture pack. The advantage of the furniture pack is that you can have everything in place when you arrive but every item may not be to your taste. A number of the furniture companies have packs available.
Most of the local companies will deliver free of charge. For items from further afield, such as Ikea in Seville, you can either pay for delivery or hire a man-and-van type of service, which are listed below.

Furniture Stores Further Afield
Ikea in Seville is about an hours drive away and offers an almost identical selection to the UK stores. In fact, it is worth bringing a catalogue from the UK with you if you need help with the translation. Ikea is open 1000 to 2200 Monday to Saturday, Sunday opening is only on selected dates, despite the sign outside. The store is open on all Sundays in December, for other dates check their website.
To reach Ikea, join the motorway A-49/E-1 from Ayamonte at junction 131. Drive for 129 kilometres and exit the motorway at Junction 2, signposted Tomares/Castilleja de la Cuesta. At the roundabout turn left, 4th exit, and cross back over the motorway. At the next roundabout go straight and then left at the following. The car park entrance is on your left.
Carrefour, in Cartaya, do a selection of white and electrical goods, small range of furniture items and garden furniture. Carrefour is a large hypermarket which also does a good range of groceries, kitchen utensils, toys and clothing.
Carrefour is situated approximately 3km off junction 105 on the A-49/E-1. Alternatively you can leave Ayamonte on the N-431 (road to Isla Cristina/Lepe) and drive through Lepe and then Cartaya. Carrefour is located on your left at the first roundabout.
Leroy Merlin, at Corrales just outside Huelva, is the largest local DIY store. As well as the usual DIY selection they stock bathrooms, kitchens, furniture, carpets, lighting and garden furniture.
The easiest way to reach Leroy Merlin is to exit junction 99 on the A-49/E-1, signposted Aljarque/Huelva Oeste. Follow the signs towards Aljarque and then Corrales. Drive past the roundabout with a train parked in the middle, yes a train, at the next roundabout take the second exit and you will see Leroy Merlin on your left.
There are also a number of large furniture store in and around Lepe & Cartaya. If you leave Ayamonte via the N-431 towards Isla Cristina. As you approach and leave Lepe you will see a number of stores on the main road. Continue through Lepe to Cartaya and again you will find a number of stores along the main road.
